Hot chamber Magnesium alloy pressure die-casting:

The Zanetti Industrial Group, including Walmec, embarked on a new adventure in magnesium in 2003.
Walmec develops the hot chamber pressure die-casting process for AZ 91, AM 50 and AM-lite magnesium alloys independent of its core business, designed for the sub-contracting market.
This technology is distinguished by the hot chamber, an extremely efficient and high performance process, for casts of a volume up to 300 mm3 net, where material is directly injected from the die-cast oven to the injection channel.
Magnesium achieves minimum thickness (even 1 mm), complex geometries and holes or undercuts directly from pressing.
Walmec is the only company in Italy able to provide this technology and one of the few in Europe.
Since 2005 we have been AMT Australia's official partner for the European market and AMT Europe’s partner for AMlite alloy. This material permits galvanizing treatments and, therefore, chrome-plating and other finishes, on pressure die-casts.
